We luck out and get a free stay at the fuel dock before departing San Carlos. Seeing some heavy weather coming on the forecast we plan to leave early on our 400 mile passage to Mazatlan in order to get ahead of the weather.
Despite our best plans, we suffer from a steering system failure, high fever (possibly dengue), and seasickness. Needless to say, the high winds caught up with us and pounded us all night before pulling into Mazatlan at the crack of dawn.
